WHEN TOLD THAT: ‘FARMERS FEED THE WORLD’, they all raised up hands and said they wanted to be farmers.
Farming is undoubtedly one of the most noble professions of all time. Agriculture forms the basis of any society and plays a crucial role in the socio-economic development of a country. Can you imagine how our lives would have been without indulging in farming?
Today, our learners from Avondale Campus primary section (Grade 2 – 7) visited Natural Resources Development College (NRDC) which is Zambia’s top agricultural college and a public institution under the Ministry of Agriculture.
Our Learners were educated on the various agricultural produce that the institution offers, the importance of farming and ultimately the major benefits of farming. When questioned about who wanted to be a farmer, none of our learners showed interest, however at the end of the tour, the same question was asked they all excitedly raised their hands.
